New Challenges

Yesterday morning we woke up and went into Sebastopol to the warehouse and put another coat of vinegar on the Popomo. We are hoping one more coat is all we are going to need to finish it up! The rest of the day was spent cleaning up the Epu, the house that Jay has been living in for the past 5 years. He recently sold it and it was picked up today by the new owner. After moving all of Jay’s things out and cleaning the

Epu, things really got fun. We had to try to move the Epu out of the yard and into the driveway. We ended up having to take down part of the fence, remove some of the plants in the yard, and drive the truck through the yard behind Jay’s 500 square foot house. We managed to get it out with some slight maneuvering.
We also got to sit down with Jay and look at the plans we will be putting into AutoCAd. He has 3 new bungalow designs that he has been working on. Each of these designs has at least 10 drawings to go with it including floor plans, elevations, and detail work. I think we will be busy for a while!
Today was spent again working on Jay’s new house the Gifford. Unfortunately, things went rather slow because everything that needed done needed Jay’s attention before we could proceed. One thing that was accomplished was the pickup of the Epu. The new owner came to pick it up around noon and was very excited to start moving in!
We wanted to include some pictures of our living quarters and our shower! We have two nice sized rooms in the house next to Jay’s that we have fixed up. In one room we have our bed and in the other room we have a small refrigerator and a hot plate. However, unfortunately, the plumbing in the house is not in working condition therefore we had to build a solar shower and decomposing toilet for us to use this summer. The whole time we have been here so far, it has been rainy, but today the sun came out so our showers should start warming up! Thank goodness!
We found out yesterday that we get to stage (or decorate) the Popomo for a photo shoot that will take place next week. Tomorrow we are hoping to spend the day shopping for paint for the interior and artwork to decorate it! Photos will soon follow!
