For those of you who don't know, Jay Shafer has been building and living in tiny houses under 100 square feet for over 10 years. He is most noted for his houses under 100 square feet, but does design houses that are slightly larger. However, his largest design does not exceed 1000 square feet. He started his own company, Tumbleweed Tiny House Company, and now focuses on designing new plans and educating and training individuals to build their own small house.
Jay's main goals in building and living small is to live simply and to reduce his carbon foot print by eliminating unused living space.
